Denom Pay
Pay with $BTCD and $ETHD
The payment layer for the crypto economy. Businesses set prices in any currency — customers always see and pay in $BTCD or $ETHD. Every token is backed 1:1 in an immutable vault. Powered by the Denom Pricing API.
How Denom Pay works
01
Business sets a price
In any currency they want — USD, EUR, BTC, ETH, or directly in $BTCD / $ETHD. The Denom Pricing API handles the conversion.
02
Customer sees $BTCD / $ETHD
No matter what currency the business priced in, the customer always sees the amount in $BTCD or $ETHD. Clean, simple, native.
03
Customer pays
Buyer sends Denom tokens from any wallet. The transaction enters the settlement window.
04
Dynamic settlement
The protocol holds the payment briefly to account for BTC/ETH price movement, then settles to the merchant. If BTC appreciated, the buyer may get a partial refund.
Dynamic Pricing API
Businesses integrate the Denom Pricing API to set prices in whatever currency they prefer. The API dynamically converts to $BTCD or $ETHD in real time for the customer.
Pricing model
Business sets price in any currency
USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, BTC, ETH, $BTCD, $ETHD — anything. The API accepts any base currency.
API converts to $BTCD / $ETHD
Real-time conversion using live market data. The customer checkout always displays the price in Denom tokens.
Customer pays in $BTCD or $ETHD
One consistent experience for the buyer — always paying in the same denomination, regardless of how the business priced it.
// Example: business prices a product at $25 USD
POST /api/pricing
{ "amount": 25, "currency": "USD", "settle_in": "BTCD" }
// API response — customer sees this
{ "display_amount": "263.15", "display_currency": "BTCD" }
// Example: business prices directly in BTCD
{ "amount": 500, "currency": "BTCD" }
// No conversion needed — 500 $BTCD displayed as-is
Dynamic Payment Settlement
When a business prices their product in a currency other than $BTCD or $ETHD, the payment goes through a dynamic settlement process to protect both the business and the buyer from short-term price fluctuation.
Customer pays $BTCD / $ETHD
Payment is sent and enters the settlement hold period.
Settlement hold
The protocol holds the transaction for a short window. The hold time is dynamic — based on current BTC/ETH price volatility. Higher volatility = slightly longer hold.
Business gets paid
Once the settlement window closes, the business receives the correct amount based on the price at settlement time. The business is guaranteed to receive the value they priced.
Buyer refund on appreciation
If BTC/ETH price appreciated during the hold period, the buyer overpaid in real terms. The protocol returns the excess $BTCD / $ETHD back to the buyer automatically.
Example: settlement with appreciation refund
Business prices a product at $25 USD
At payment time, BTC = $95,000 → customer pays 263.15 $BTCD
At settlement, BTC = $96,000 → $25 USD now = 260.42 $BTCD
Business receives: 260.42 $BTCD (full $25 value)
Buyer refund: 2.73 $BTCD returned automatically
